Toasted is live

After four months of weekends, Toasted is live on the App Store. It does one thing: helps you write a wedding speech that sounds like you wrote it.

The shape of the app stayed the same since week one — a few prompts, a draft, a way to regenerate sections, a practice mode that reads it back. What changed is how the prompts feel. Early versions asked too much. The shipping version asks for five things and gets out of the way.

The hardest part was tone. Every model defaults to a kind of warm, listicle-y, slightly Hallmark voice. Real speeches have specifics, awkward pauses, and inside jokes. Getting the model to keep specifics and lose the listicle was three weeks of prompt work and one custom evaluator.
